In the coming months, our publishing company will decide if it will launch Woodworking Magazine as a six-issues-per-year, subscription-based publication. To help us make this critical decision we need your help.

We’ve created a brief survey to help us get a better idea of what you like (and dislike) about the seven newsstand-only issues of Woodworking Magazine we’ve published since 2004.

To take the survey, follow this link. This survey will only be open until April 11, after which the results will be sent to the analysts who are crunching the numbers.

All your answers will be held in the strictest confidence and will not be shared with anyone outside the magazine. As always, if you have any questions or further comments, please feel free to send me an e-mail.

Thanks in advance.

Unfortunatley, I was not aware of this survey until now (4/23) well after the the closing date. For what it is worth, I support without reservation publishing the magazine on a six issue/year basis and I will be an immediate subscriber.

Chris, I bought no. 1 and 2 on paper, the first 5 on dvd. Now I have to buy the first 7 on dvd?
It would be nice to buy pdf downloads.

    Chris,
In my humble opinion, two things which makes this magazine unique and so popular with those who have been supporters right from the beginning and anyone else who has found out what a terrific magazine it is, is the concept of a through-line or common thread that runs through the entire issue, and secondly there is a certain intimacy that you just don’t find with most periodicals. Just look at the amount of reader commentary and it’s obvious that this is not your run of the mill woodworking monthly. With the additional benefits of no advertising, the way people ultimately get the magazine to thier home, may be a moot point. That is as long as "parental" change doesn’t alter the current configuration too much. Unfortunately my personal experience with business has made me very pessimistic that this is possible. I’m not going to go on about that here, but it is a real concern and hopefully the powers that be will really listen to us, the readers who will benefit or suffer from the outcome of these surveys.
    Thank you,
    Michael Rogen
