Woodworking in America 2013 is October 18-20 at the Northern Kentucky Convention center. It’s three days of woodworking fun and education sessions (47 of them!), plus two days of the Marketplace – where you can see and try out the best collection of tools under one roof anywhere, and talk with the makers (that’s not hyperbole – check out who’s coming so far, with more to add!) Plus, we’ve brought back the Conference Banquet this year, so we can all join together for drinks and laughs, with a special presentation by Plimoth Plantation joiner Peter Follansbee, emceed by Roy “The Woodwright” Underhill. And, we have sessions from eight presenters new to WIA – including Silas Kopf, Peter Galbert and Ejler Hjorth-Westh! (Click to see all the presenters and sessions.)
It’s time to get off the fence and sign up (if you haven’t already). The “Early Bird” rate for this year’s conference ends August 2…this Friday…just 3.5 days from now! Not only will you save $51 off the regular rate, to sweeten the deal, we’re also giving away $150 shopwoodworking.com gift certificates to two lucky registrants, who will be chosen in a random drawing. Everyone who signs up (or has already signed up) at the Early Bird rate (either for the full conference or a one-day pass) is eligible to win; the winners will be chosen in a random drawing on Friday, August 16.
Here are some supplies and tools we find essential in our everyday work around the shop. We may receive a commission from sales referred by our links; however, we have carefully selected these products for their usefulness and quality.
