We’ve just released an updated edition (as both a paperback and a PDF download) of our best-selling “Popular Woodworking’s Arts & Crafts Furniture Projects,” with 17 new step-by-step project builds (42 in all).
And I have a copy to give away, free. To enter the drawing, simply leave a comment below by Friday, Jan. 23. I’ll announce the winner on Monday, Jan. 26.
Inside this 2nd edition of “Arts & Crafts Furniture Projects,” you’ll find nine shelving pieces, eight tables, eight indoor seating pieces (as well as a few meant for the porch or garden), eight storage pieces and nine “other” projects, such as a print stand and two mantel clocks.
Click on the table of contents image to enlarge it and read a list of all 42 projects – including Gustav Stickley bookshelves, chairs and tables, a Byrdcliffe linen press, a Greene & Greene medicine cabinet and sideboard and much more.
Again, all you have to do to enter is leave a comment. I’ll randomly select from among respondents. And, as the winner of our “Practical Woodworker” drawing can attest, you don’t have to live in the United States to win (what shocked me was how quickly he received them in England – that never happens when I place an overseas order!).
Here are some supplies and tools we find essential in our everyday work around the shop. We may receive a commission from sales referred by our links; however, we have carefully selected these products for their usefulness and quality.
The quality of the documents from your publishers is always exceptional. Glad I didn’t get the first edition since this would likely be beyond my ability to resist temptation.
I look forward to the new book. This will be a perfect companion to the “Classic Arts and Crafts Furniture” book purchased in December.
Perfect. I love this style of furniture.
I look forward to reading your book.
And here I am contemplating a new chair (or two maybe) for my living room… how fortuitous this could be!
I would love to have the opportunity to build a few projects from this book!
This would be a nice and timely addition to small woodworking library.
I’m needing a new medicine chest in my 1940’s home A&C style would fit right in. Thanks.
I have some terrific ribbon oak awaiting a project. Please enter me too.
This book would be a great companion to the first edition I already own.

I’ve been looking for some new projects lately. Looks like there are quite a few interesting new pieces in this edition that I wouldn’t mind trying my hand at.
I did a quick search of my library, then the side table in the living room – then the wife’s desk; nope. Don’t have this one, please enter me!
I milled my neighbor’s oak into 1000 bd ft and all I have to show for it so far is this bookcase. https://flic.kr/s/aHsjXcx7PD I need more ideas.
Megan looks like a great book would love to add it to my libary
The first edition is great. Look forward to seeing you in Kansas City, and, to the new book!
I would love to add that book to my small collection of woodworking books. Love the furniture.
I’d love this book!
I have the first edition and love it. Can’t wait to get the updated one.
Hi, not sure if I need more ideas of things to build, but would love to read this book.
Great looking book. If I don’t win I will most likely buy it myself 🙂
Arts and Crafts is my favorite style. I will probably buy this anyway.
Looks like a great set of project ideas. Cheers!
I would love a copy of this book. It is my favorite furniture style.
I have the first edition and built one of my first projects from it. I’d love to see what’s new in this edition.
I could use this book to continue my chairmaking advanture.
Just send it to me now!
Awesome. I love the simple lines and rock solid joinery of Arts and Crafts furniture and I am looking forward to some fresh inspiration. The style also brings back boyhood memories of my Grandmothers house. I would love to add this book to my modest woodworking book collection.
I would love to have a copy. I see many projects I would like to make.
Have the 1st edition, have made several well received pieces from it, looking forward to the 2nd edition.
Throw my hat in the ring!
Sounds like a great reference…. Thanks
Great timing I am in the middle of building a Arts and Crafts coffee table, and planning other pieces to go with the set. More ideas to work with.
Hope for luck. Thanks for the chance.
Thank you, Megan and Popular Woodworking. I’d love to save my money to spend on something else…but if I don’t get the free one, I’ll just buy it anyway! So much for my resolve to spend less this year…
I would love to have this too.
I admit to not having read the 1st ed., but I found the table of contents above very captivating. Several projects I’ve not seen in other books — the linen press as an example. Plans and projects, for me, are a starting point in final design and making, and I have always liked the form and function of this style. It would be a worthwhile addition to my hands-on library as well.
I have the first edition. Love it and have made variations/modification to the projects to meet our unique taste and needs. Jim from Heritage Carving and Woodworking https://www.facebook.com/HeritageCarving
Craftsman furniture and houses have a warmth that goes beyond other styles. Craftsman was a lifestyle movement back in the day. Your can read their archived magazines at http://digicoll.library.wisc.edu/cgi-bin/DLDecArts/DLDecArts-idx?type=browse&scope=DLDECARTS.HOMEDESIGN
I have cherry waiting to become the ‘Arts & Crafts trash can’. It has a fancier name in the book… and it looks far better than the $10 target trash can next to our desk.
Looks like some good projects to build.
Looks like a fantastic library addition
Looks like a great book.
This looks like a great book and has amazing projects.
This is my favorite style. I’d love to get a free edition!
Thanks Megan!
Go ahead, send me the book!
Yay! New Book!
I’d love to get this book.
I really should try to make furniture someday, maybe this would push me over the edge.
Looks like a good design resource as well as a source for projects.
Ooooh, contest. I’d like to win that book!
Love the style. My book collection is much too small. Could definitely use this
Looks good to me, sign me up! I keep the original incarnation in my go-to section of my library.
Cheers,
I’d love a copy. And I live in Cincinnati, so I can save you the shipping cost!
I have the first edition. Would love to add this one to my library.
I would love the 2nd edition. Will attending school for joints with hand tools in February. I am collecting a library of Arts and Crafts furniture to build. Our two daughters and wife have expressed their wishes for this style of furniture and have been wanting to construct some pieces. This would be a great addition to my library.
Thanks in advance.
Lots of projects I need. I’d love to have this.
would love to have a copy of this book for design ideas
I’d love a copy.
As an Englishman, now living in America, I’d be happy to test the local shipping speed with this book!
This is a long shot, but I’d love to have this book.
A second copy would be nice.
Yes, please.
Me too please

This is very timely as my daughter has “commissioned” an end table for me to build. This would be a great resource for that, and a great addition to the library.
Would live the book
Count me in. Would get a lot of use out of this book.
