In “Gravity by Design” (June 2015, Issue 218), Darrell Peart shares his thought on how the bottom of a piece is the most interesting and telling – how what’s at the ground level (or close to it) has a significant effect on the design as a whole.
One of the furniture pieces Darrell employs to illustrate his theory is the Aurora Desk – a pedestal desk of his own design that picks up many cues from the work of Charles Greene.
But Darrell has other pieces in his Aurora series – I know this because lately, I’ve received a number of requests for his “Arched Aurora Nightstand” article from the Winter 2010 issue of Woodwork Magazine. So many, in fact, that I’m offering it here to you – simply click on the link after my name at the bottom of this post to download the free PDF.
And, I’ve had a couple folks ask about Woodwork Magazine in general…because I’m not gonna lie – it’s hard to find in our store (we’re working on that). But we do have all the issues on one DVD.
