Apologies for the delay in posting this; I took a few days’ vacation in Maine after the Lie-Nielsen Open House, then the last 10 days or so to catch up (well, to try to catch up…I’m not quite yet there).
A lot of folks have e-mailed with questions about new tools on the horizon from Lie-Nielsen (I know most of you know what I’m talking about…); While Thomas Lie-Nielsen is eager to make those available he – understandably – won’t do so until they’re 100-percent perfect. So that’s all I’ll say on that front. Oh…except I got to try out both of said unnamed tools, and they will be well worth the wait.
I’m sorry I didn’t get pictures of all the demonstrators; I was at “my” bench in the auxiliary tent much of the time, demonstrating fixes for faulty dovetails. (In hindsight, I should have cut some good ones, too…just so I could quit explaining that I was messing up on purpose!). But below, you’ll find a slideshow of the least fuzzy shots I was able to get with my phone (click on the images to make them larger, as you wish).
Here are some supplies and tools we find essential in our everyday work around the shop. We may receive a commission from sales referred by our links; however, we have carefully selected these products for their usefulness and quality.
I second pmac’s comment… I just emailed back & forth with LN about their plow plane – not knowing beforehand that it had been announced over a year ago – because I’m in the market for one.
Waiting… with only a hint of impatience…:-)
You did a beautiful presentation with your photos here Megan.
