Thos. Moser furniture is staging an event this weekend, March 9-10, in Tysons Corner, Virginia. On Saturday, company founder and legendary furniture maker Tom Moser will be on hand to talk about the story of Thos. Moser Cabinetmakers starting at 4 p.m. He’s inviting woodworkers and others interested in handcrafted furniture to the event. In addition to meeting the legend, visitors are sure to be entertained by Mr. Moser’s breezy speaking style and dry sense of humor. He made a memorable key note address a few years back at our Woodworking in America event.
Bring your copy of “How to Build Shaker Furniture” because I’m sure Tom will be happy to sign it. It’s a highly influential book he authored years ago and we had the privilege to update it with a new addition a couple years back.
The company will also have a large collection of their furniture on display and for sale at reduced prices. Pieces will include everything from first quality, to showroom to one-of-a-kind examples.
The event runs both Saturday and Sunday, March 9 and 10, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wine and cheese will be served during Moser’s presentation from 4-6 p.m. Saturday. This rare opportunity is being held at the Sheraton Premiere, 8661 Leesburg Pike, Tyson’s Corner, VA.
Here are some supplies and tools we find essential in our everyday work around the shop. We may receive a commission from sales referred by our links; however, we have carefully selected these products for their usefulness and quality.
