With the November 2013 issue of Popular Woodworking Magazine now in the hands of all subscribers (I hope!), it’s time to share with everyone the work of all the winners in our inaugural PWM Excellence Awards (But if you aren’t a subscriber…well…you know…save money…feed my cats…etc. etc.).
We announced the Grand-prize Winner last month, but her work is well worth posting again: Autumn Doucet, of Wenatchee, Wash., for her Figured Cherry Chest.
We also featured the winners at the Friday Night Dinner at Woodworking in America 2013, where two of the talented makers were on hand to receive our applause.
Images of the category winners’ work are below, with their names in the captions (click on the images to view them in larger size). And if you’d like to read the entire article, please download the free PDF that follows the images.
Congratulations to all our winners (and look for a call for entries for 2014 on the blog in January, and in the February 2014 issue of Popular Woodworking Magazine).
Here are some supplies and tools we find essential in our everyday work around the shop. We may receive a commission from sales referred by our links; however, we have carefully selected these products for their usefulness and quality.

No, I am a member of the digital subscription and I have not received my issue yet! Your customer service link is down right terrible and there is no way for me to see what happened. Funny how you have my e mail to send me all kinds of products you want to sell me but cannot seem to send me what I paid for… 🙁
I wish there were pieces like these every month in PWM.
