We’ve had a lot of fun with our Spring Cleaning Contest and so have several hundred readers who have already submitted guesses of the number of cordless drills we have in our shop and offices. We thought it worthy of a mention in our weekly newsletter but we forgot that the newsletter went out on April 1, and the deadline for the contest was midnight on March 31.

So with egg on our faces, and in the interests of fair play, we’ve decided to extend the deadline until midnight (Cincinnati time) April 6, 2009. That also allows us to put off our big cleanup by another day or two. So here is a recap of what the contest is all about:

We have so many cordless drills in our shop, we don’t know how many there are. The photo above is a typical corner. There are drills on the benches, chargers on the window sills, and who knows what in all those plastic boxes. We’re going on a grand clean up, and as we clean we will be taking a tally of what we have.

To enter the contest, submit your best guess on the number of cordless drills we have in our shop and office by e-mail. One entry per e-mail address, and if no one hits the precise number, we’ll draw a name at random from the closest entries. The prize is a new cordless drill kit.

Remember, we are looking for the total number of drills in our possession, and only one entry per e-mail address.

Enter by sending an e-mail only, not by leaving a comment.

Results will be announced in next week’s newsletter, and here on the blog.

Hi guys. I define comfort as self-acceptance. When we finally learn that self-care begins and ends with ourselves, we no longer demand sustenance and happiness from others.
I am from Luxembourg and also now am reading in English, tell me right I wrote the following sentence: "Re – is turbo tax to blame for the amt? By michael bindner on fri apr – am edt permanent link."

    Thanks :-D. Maddock.
