doors

During the last two weeks, I’ve been perfecting my impression of the common garden slug. I’ve become quite good at it.

Pretty much the only thing woodworking-related I’ve accomplished is to hang the doors on the pantry shelves I built just before Thanksgiving. I’m not done fitting them, mind you (if only I’d made each 1/16″ narrower, darn it!). I’ve been feeling too lazy to take them back down to plane the interior stiles, rehang the things then install catches and pulls. Then take them back down to paint. (I am so bloody tired of painting.)

My only defense is that I desperately needed a break. But tomorrow, I’m back in the office. (Thank goodness I’ve but one day back, then a weekend to recov…er, I mean take those doors down and get them fit.)

The plan is to put my house on the market two months from today, and there’s still loads to be done. So it’s back to work – both on the clock and off.

I hope everyone reading this had a happy holiday and a nice break – however you may have chosen to spend it. And I hope 2015 is an excellent year of woodworking (and of life outside the shop) for all of us.

I was going to learn procrastination, but I’ve never gotten around to it….

Lazy’s good for the soul sometimes. Wait, you really shouldn’t take any advice from the likes of moi. I’m a card carrying member of the procrastinator’s club. I can always find something else to do rather than what I should be doing. So carry on, you’re doing fine. I raise my glass of Bulleit Bourbon to you. Happy New Year!
