About George Walker, author of “Woodworking Ideas” and “Design Matters:”
George Walker began woodworking almost 30 years ago and gravitated toward hand tools in the woodshop. By day, he’s manager of a factory that manufactures bearings. George finds design inspiration from a deep love of nature and a reverence for our rich woodworking heritage. In 2009 he completed a video with Lie-Nielsen Toolworks, “Unlocking the Secrets of Traditional Design,” which provides a foundation in understanding proportion, line and form.
