Router Table with Nice Features, Nice Price
Looking for a full-featured router table? Don’t want to break the bank? If so, the Premium Die Cast Aluminum Router Table from Craftsman is definitely worth a look. It has all the necessary features and a few nice extras.
The 20″ wide x 30″ long cast aluminum top coupled with a 26″ long aluminum fence gives ample space for routing large parts like cabinet doors or long moldings. The table has a miter slot, and includes a miter gauge.
Bit height adjustments are done above the table (with various Craftsman router models only). The aluminum router plate leveling screws, and includes five insert rings for different size bits.
The fence is split to adjust for various bit sizes. Also, each side of the split fence has its own micro-adjustment knob, so the fences can be offset from eachother. You can create up to a 1/2″ offset between fences. This comes in handy when you’re using a full profile bit that leaves the stock slightly narrower at the outfeed end. It’s also nice if you use your router table for light jointing work.
The fence also has an integrated flip-up guard, and includes two featherboards that attach to the fence. The back of the fence has a 2-1/4″ dust port, but there’s no under-the-table dust port. Also available is the Premium Router Table Base Cabinet (pictured) with locking casters.
