The sander features a large 18-in. diameter cast iron table for better work support and less vibration. The 1/4-hp direct drive induction motor rotates the spindle at 1725 RPM while simultaneously moving it up and down 1-in. at a rate of 30 strokes per minute. The combined movement creates the oscillating motion that produces a smoother finish with less burning and chatter.
Annoying sawdust is instantly removed by a fan assisted dust collection system that pulls the sawdust through the inserts and into a 2-1/2-in. exhaust port for your shop vacuum.
